Essaouira, Morocco is a town located 176 km from Marracech, on the Atlantic coast. Undoubtedly, Essaouira is a city not only fascinating and beautiful, but legendary and completely traditional, surrounded by towers and bastions whose face is directed to the ocean.
The weather is warm and rewarding, especially because of its immense beaches that between April and September, fans of surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, meet to practice these sports. If you decide to give some classes of experts monitors hand, on the beach at Moulay there is a center to rent everything you need and you can take your first classes.
The best way is to fly to Marrakech (ideally in a company cheap or low cost) and once there, pick up a rental car and head to Essaouira. I recommend sleeping Riad Mumtaz Mahal, who for about 70 euros, you can rent a room and enjoy your yard Mozarabic. Believe me you will like. If you prefer to do the whole route to Essaouira and have already booked the hotel for a few days, you can do so through a travel agent for about 700 euros and up.
Upon reaching the city, start your sightseeing trip by the fishing port, located just outside the walls to go after the Medina where you can enjoy the Kasbah, the Medina and Mellah Jewish quarter, which was declared a World Heritage humanity. If you want to take a few drinks and just getting caught up in the pleasure of doing nothing, go to the terrace of Taros, a place to watch the sunset while sipping a cocktail and enjoy relaxing background music.
In this land, grows a single tree whose oil is highly valued for its antioxidant properties called argan. Sound familiar?.
