Alicante, tourist information

View from the castle of Santa Bárbara

Alicante is the province which lies further to the South of the Valencian Community and is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, a special destination to relax during the holidays, especially if you like the "English roll", since it is one of the favourite destinations for our neighbouring Anglo-Saxon.

What I did when I spent my vacation there was apartment with my friends to a private individual in Alicante. The truth is that it was super because the owner was an Alicante, very friendly and recommended that we where to go, where to go out at night and everything did us lack know to pass there days that we had

And what worth see in the city of Alicante? Therefore no doubt stroll by the Esplanade of Spain and see the part modern port and of course the Postiguet Beach found in the heart, where many practiced volleyball and other sports from beach... A lot of people frequent the beach almost every day (though especially in summer, when there is good weather). Also in the Centre is the Castle of Santa Bárbara where you can enjoy splendid views of the city.

The coast surrounding the province of Alicante is called the Costa Blanca, the most important regions of the Costa Blanca that make it up are: Alicante, Altea, Benidorm, Calpe, Denia, Jávea, Torrevieja, Viallajoyosa and Orihuela among others.

The coast includes some 244 kilometres, i.e. an option to explore is each one of the towns with its charm and not miss anything, is rent a car and move around each of the peoples. This is the perfect option if you do not want to stay in the same place all the holidays.

Calpe is located 50 minutes from Alicante, and here you can visit as well as the people, the Peñón de Ifach: a Natural Park, a rock that sticks out of the water and which is still linked to the coast by a narrow strip of land. And since you visit Calpe, you can't miss the Salt Lake with the flamingos, the historic, los Baños de la Reina or mercado del puerto.

                                                                 Tabarca island

Another safe visit should be the Island of Tabarca. It is 22 km from the port of Alicante or 8 km from Santa Pola. It is the only inhabited island of the Valencian Community and the walls surrounding the town have been declared historic-artistic whole and well of Cultural interest. In addition its beaches have clean super water and they are great for diving, have been declared marine reserve of the Mediterranean by its excellent quality and the biodiversity of its flora and fauna.
